Jim DeMuth
Jim DeMuth was a very proud and contributing member of the Sperry Community from the time he moved his family here from Mississippi in 1970 until the time of his death in 2008. He enjoyed children of all ages and after helping Joyce, his wife of 59 years, raise 8 children, he enjoyed helping and encouraging other Sperry youth. One example is Sperry’s Field of Dreams, in which he was very instrumental in bringing to completion and operation. Jim’s career was in agriculture. He was well know in the cattle industry and judged many of the national cattle shows from 1950 thru 1970. He had a reputation for improving all herds he managed. Because of his love, enthusiasm and dedication to the Sperry School system and to the cattle industry, the DeMuth Family thought one of the best ways to continue his memory was thru the “Jim & Joyce DeMuth FFA Scholarship” with the help of the Cliff and Helen Grace Herrington-Sperry School Foundation. |
